Belle Madame Waterproof Eye Quickliner

The packaging that looks like a Jap product.

Belle Madame Eyeliner in Black.

I mistook this as a Solone pencil gel liner and bought it. I was in a rush to catch my train and the packaging looks pretty similar thus resulting to this purchase. But then the results turns out pretty well.

My eyelids are not those very oily type but none my pencil eyeliner stay where they are after 2 hours of application. The corner will starts to smudge and I will become miss panda.

I tried this liner without putting any eye primer or eye shadow and I was sightseeing in a warm weather.

The thing I love the most about this liner is, it glides on very smoothly and the color looks vivid and full in just 1 stroke. The feel is just like the Bobbi brown eyeliner I tried but at a fraction of the price.

It dries up pretty fast, so for those who want to have a smokey effect using this liner, you will have to smudge it really fast before it sets.

I am ok with the staying power. It remained intact for about 3 hours before my corner and under liner starts to smudge a little. But my upper liner remains intact for about 5 hours before the color starts to fade off, turning it into a lighter shade of black.

Removing the liner is a walk in the park. Just néed to use your usual makeup remover wipes or eye makeup remover will do.

The thing I do not like is the thickness of the liner. Which means, you will have to keep sharpening the pencil in order to draw those winged eyeliner.

But the thing I hate most is, it is very hard to sharpen the eyeliner as it breaks very easy which can be quite annoying!!

After comparing the pros & cons of this eyeliner, I do not think I will recommend my friends to get this.

Pros:

  • Easy to glide
  • Vivid and colour looks full.
  • Staying power >4 hours for upper liner
  • Easily removed using makeup remover
  • Cheap

Cons:

  • Needs to be sharpen frequently
  • Hard to sharpen
  • Breaks VERY easily

Solone 2mm Auto Waterproof Eyeliner

I had been hearing alot of raves on this mechanical eyeliner from my frenz and being a beauty junkie and MUA, I told myself I must add this into my eyeliner collection. But the real reason is, for me, it is so hard to get a eyeliner ( apart from liquid liner sometimes )  that does not smudge.

It is so hard to get hold of this eyeliner. I was searching high and low in Taiwan before I laid my hand on one.

It comes in 4 different colours.
  1. Black
  2. Black & Gold
  3. Black & Silver
  4. Brown
After much consideration, I got 2 colours in the end -- Black + Black & Gold.

Packing of the Eyeliner in Black & Gold.

Top part of the eyeliner in Black.

I have only tried the Black one so far. I now understand why everyone is having praises for this eyeliner. It is totally amazing!!

My eyelids are not those very oily type but none my pencil eyeliner stay where they are after 2 hours of application. The corner will starts to smudge like nobody business and I will become miss panda.

I applied this eyeliner on my bare eyelids without and eye primer or eyeshadow. After application, I did not set it with any black eyeshadow as well.

I tried this for the first time when I was going to the legendary hot & humid Chatuchuk Weekend Market. It is easy to apply and glide on. I especially love the thin pencil cause I can draw very thin eyeliner with a precise winged.

But what I love the most is at the end of the 8 hours shopping, the eyeliner looks almost intact with just minor smudging at the corner and slight colour change to a lighter tinge of black. I am totally amazed by the staying power!!

The eyeliner is easy to apply and glide on. Despite its long-staying power, removal is easy with just a makeup remover wipes.

I finally found the eyeliner that I can apply without needing to worry I will turn into some panda after a few pathetic hours. This little baby is definitely the best eyeliner I have tried and gonna be my long time buddy in my makeup collection from now on.

Pros:
  • Easy to glide and apply
  • Dries up quickly
  • Thin pencil
  • Superb staying power >8hours
  • Easily removed using makeup remover
  • Cheap

Cons:

  • Hard to buy this eyeliner.
