The packaging that looks like a Jap product.
Belle Madame Eyeliner in Black.
I mistook this as a Solone pencil gel liner and bought it. I was in a rush to catch my train and the packaging looks pretty similar thus resulting to this purchase. But then the results turns out pretty well.
My eyelids are not those very oily type but none my pencil eyeliner stay where they are after 2 hours of application. The corner will starts to smudge and I will become miss panda.
I tried this liner without putting any eye primer or eye shadow and I was sightseeing in a warm weather.
The thing I love the most about this liner is, it glides on very smoothly and the color looks vivid and full in just 1 stroke. The feel is just like the Bobbi brown eyeliner I tried but at a fraction of the price.
It dries up pretty fast, so for those who want to have a smokey effect using this liner, you will have to smudge it really fast before it sets.
I am ok with the staying power. It remained intact for about 3 hours before my corner and under liner starts to smudge a little. But my upper liner remains intact for about 5 hours before the color starts to fade off, turning it into a lighter shade of black.
Removing the liner is a walk in the park. Just néed to use your usual makeup remover wipes or eye makeup remover will do.
The thing I do not like is the thickness of the liner. Which means, you will have to keep sharpening the pencil in order to draw those winged eyeliner.
But the thing I hate most is, it is very hard to sharpen the eyeliner as it breaks very easy which can be quite annoying!!
After comparing the pros & cons of this eyeliner, I do not think I will recommend my friends to get this.
Pros:
- Easy to glide
- Vivid and colour looks full.
- Staying power >4 hours for upper liner
- Easily removed using makeup remover
- Cheap
Cons:
- Needs to be sharpen frequently
- Hard to sharpen
- Breaks VERY easily
